This show was not ill-advised. It was, however, oxymoronic in the sense that Blake Jones played liberal(ish) Christian music. Huh? Those two words in the same sentence? Yeah, well that's his point. The neo-con right seems to have hijacked religion, and Blake is battling back with needle-sharp lyrics and catchy melodies. The show has appeal to both Christians and non-Christians (like me). Very cool!

as always, Blake is entertaining. He doesn't get on a soapbox, he doesn't berate people; he just calmly writes and/or sings a song that tells it like it is.

I have always enjoyed Blakes stuff. Always clever and unabashedly pop... but this time with a bite to make you think.

"Don't You Be Stealin' My Jesus" is a hit song. Period. It's odd to see the Trike Shop guy do a folk tune, but this one is seriously a hit song.

His other songs are terrific. I'm so glad to have seen this show.

Don't miss it.

Blake's show is a meaningful mixture of melodies shared as he hopes for a sane version world harmony. Well done, Mr. Jones! The Johns and the Pauls would all be very proud, I'm sure.
Love that Jesus song!!

See, this is why I love Blake's music! I'm smiling, I'm laughing, I'm tapping my foot AND I'm getting warm fuzzies and the inspiration to walk out of the show a better person. You're light is shinin' bright! Sudafed and all:)
