A character in this play says "I hate it when you talk like you know anything." That pretty much sums up the whole play. This show wants to look really deep, but it's not about anything and it doesn't say anything.
I went to this show expecting something insiteful. I came away having to ERASE all the swear words I heard on stage. The main idea of the show was good. I truly believe it could have been VERY successfully presented WITHOUT ALL the swear words,such as those 'shows' written & presented successfully by Shakespeare.
I couldn't wait for it to be over! I figured it'd be rude to walk out on them since it was a small venue. Please learn to write shows that communicate your ideas WITHOUT using SWEAR WORDS!!!!
Fresno never ceases to disappoint me. Yes the show contained quite a bit of profanity...as well as all of the other things it's content message said it contained. What did you think you were going to see? "The Absent-minded Professor?" Yes, the show was a bit unpolished, but they put it out there and they pushed the envelope...and that's what theatre needs to be about. As for Shakespeare, you will rarely find a bawdier or more profane playwright...assuming, of course you know what he actually said. I hope that Mr. Vasquez and his group persevere and loon forward to what they do next.
I was greatly impressed with this show! Raul, for a young man it's amazing how deep your thinking is. For those that were offended with the language..well, Duh! Didn't you read the warning before attending?
The arguement between Jesus and the Easter Bunny was hilarious and true! I have to admit the rest of the play was quite dark but in an introspective and soul-searching way that left me intrigued. Although the premise has a few rough edges your imagination and insights go beyond your years. Kudos to you, can't wait to see what you'll come up with next year!
